Taylor Lautner is still amazed by how popular he is with fans.

The 19-year-old premiered his new movie Abduction in the UK last night.

The red carpet event came about after fans started a petition on Facebook to ensure that Taylor screened his new film in London.

According to The Associated Press over 79,000 fans ‘liked’ the petition leaving the Twilight star no choice, but to visit the UK.

Taylor admits that he is still amazed by his fans’ dedication.

‘It’s absolutely unreal,’ Taylor said. ‘It continues to blow my mind every time I see it.’

Taylor and his Abduction co-star Lily Collins are believed to have enjoyed a brief romance after meeting on the set of the movie.

However, the actress refused to comment on the rumours, and implored viewers to concentrate on Taylor’s talent rather than his personal life.

‘I just hope everyone goes and sees the movie and focuses on the acting,’ Lily smiled. ‘He’s a great young man.’

Meanwhile, Taylor’s Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson appears to be growing frustrated with living in the public spotlight.

The 25-year-old is alleged to have almost punched a photographer in Los Angeles yesterday.

The heartthrob was spotted leaving a meeting with the ICM agency when he saw red.

‘Rob already seemed to be in a bad mood,’ the X17 photographer revealed. ‘When he saw me, he just snapped. I was just standing there, taking his picture, not saying anything, not getting too close and he just went off. He clenched his fist and got ready to hit me, but his friend told him to stop and calmed him down.’

John Hurt is in awe of Lars Von Trier’s ‘extremely intricate’ mind.

The actor appears in Melancholia, which was directed by Lars. Kirsten Dunst portrays a woman crippled by depression at a time when the Earth is about to collide with another planet.

She won the best actress prize at the Cannes International Film Festival for the part this year. However, Lars caused more headlines by describing himself as a ‘Nazi’ at the event.

John wants people to judge the movie on the storyline, rather than the gossip which has surrounded it.

‘It’s a wonderful woven piece which is entirely Lars Von Trier’s, whose mind is extremely intricate. It’s an extraordinary film,’ he enthused.

John is busy at the moment as he’s promoting Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. It’s a spy movie based on a novel by John le Carré and has gone down brilliantly with audiences. The storyline is intricate and John is pleased it’s been such a hit.

‘We were thrilled with the reception, the only component we needed was the audience and it seems we have that to. For me I’m thrilled because I’ve always believes we underestimate our audience,’ he told Sky News. ‘It’s about people, emotions, betrayal, friendship, it’s about all the finest and weakest things in humanity, it’s about us.’

The 55th BFI London Film Festival kicks off next month and it’s something John is looking forward to greatly. He’s urged movie fans to get involved with the annual event, even though he’ll have to miss some of it.

‘I’m always trying to be involved with the London Film Festival but unfortunately I’m going to be away for a lot of it as I’m working,’ he said.

‘I recommend the London Film Festival from the bottom of my heart it usually has terrific films and I hope it’s well supported.’

The first picture stills of American star Leonardo Di Caprio in the film “Hoover” directed by Clint Eastwood, has been released.

“Premiere” news website released the pictures of Leonardo as J Edgar, the former head of FBI, taken as he gives a speech in a meeting. Other stills have been published for the film which is due to be released next year.

The film is about the life of American policeman Edgar Hoover, one of the founders of the American FBI in 1935, and his biography until his death in 1972.

Brad Pitt’s production company will produce Glee creator’s new script.

Brad’s company Plan B Entertainment has signed on to produce Ryan Murphy’s screenplay The Normal Heart. Ryan created television shows Nip/Tuck and Glee and also directed 2010 film starring Julia Roberts Eat, Pray, Love. He will direct and serve as producer for The Normal Heart.

The film is an adaptation of a semi-autobiographical play written by Larry Kramer. The play follows an activist in the 1980s who struggles to raise awareness for HIV/AIDS. Actors Ellin Barkin and Joe Mantello starred during the show’s stretch on Broadway this year. Mark Ruffalo is in talks to take on a role in the film adaptation.

Ryan recently produced Glee: The 3D Concert movie. Mark has starred in 2010’s comedy-drama The Kids Are All Right. Brad’s company Plan B has three major feature film releases upcoming in 2012 including Cogan’s Trade, World War Z and Cobra: the Space Pirate.
